Compensation Analyst
Location: Medellín, Colombia (On-site)
Schedule: Monday Friday | Availability between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM
English Level: B2+ Required
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Compensation Analyst to help build and scale compensation programs from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity to partner directly with HR Leadership, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners to design compensation structures, salary frameworks, and decision-making tools that will support organizational growth and talent retention.
The ideal candidate has strong compensation experience, advanced analytical skills, and a proven track record of designing compensation programs rather than simply maintaining them.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Structure
Build salary bands and compensation structures from scratch using market benchmarking data.
Design and maintain job architecture frameworks, including job levels and titles.
Support salary equity, career progression, and hiring consistency through compensation programs.
Develop compensation tools and frameworks that support scalable business growth.
Market Analysis & Benchmarking
Conduct compensation benchmarking using tools such as:
Radford
Mercer
CompAnalyst
PayScale
Analyze market trends and compensation practices.
Provide recommendations based on competitive market data.
Merit & Compensation Programs
Redesign and support annual merit review processes.
Build compensation models and budget scenarios.
Support approval workflows and compensation planning.
Conduct post-cycle analysis and reporting.
Analytics & Reporting
Create compensation dashboards, reports, and decision-support tools.
Develop offer recommendation models for Recruitment and HR teams.
Analyze workforce and compensation data to identify trends and opportunities.
Pay Equity & Compliance
Conduct pay equity analyses and identify retention risks.
Evaluate compensation consistency across employee groups.
Ensure compensation practices align with business objectives and market competitiveness.
Process Improvement & Innovation
Identify and implement AI-powered tools to improve:
Benchmarking speed
Analysis accuracy
Reporting efficiency
Partner with HR, Finance, Recruiting, and Legal teams on compensation initiatives.
Contribute to the modernization of compensation processes and programs.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in:
Compensation
Total Rewards
HR Analytics
Compensation Planning
Proven experience building:
Salary structures
Compensation frameworks
Job architectures
Experience supporting or leading a complete merit cycle, including:
Budget planning
Compensation execution
Payroll reconciliation
Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data analysis.
Hands-on experience with compensation benchmarking tools such as:
Radford
Mercer
CompAnalyst
PayScale
Experience working with HRIS or HCM platforms.
Advanced English proficiency for interaction with U.S.-based stakeholders.
Ability to handle highly confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SaaS, HCM, technology, or private-equity-backed organizations.
Experience designing incentive compensation and variable pay programs.
HR or Compensation certifications such as:
CCP
PHR
SHRM-CP
Experience using AI tools within analytical or compensation functions.
Familiarity with:
