Accountant (Remote - Must be based in Colombia)
Salary: $1200?$1400 USD/month
Shifts: 8:30 am - 5:30 am
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant with strong experience using QuickBooks to manage daily financial operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain financial records using QuickBooks (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger)
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Monitor cash flow and identify discrepancies
Prepare and file sales tax and assist with other tax-related tasks
Support audits by providing required documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills:
Experience with payroll processing in QuickBooks
Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting tools
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
