Insurance Defense Paralegal U.S. Law Firm Experience Required
We?re seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Defense Paralegal to support our insurance defense attorneys and paralegals in managing legal cases, documentation, and daily case-related activities.
The ideal candidate will have 3?5 years of experience as a Paralegal with Insurance Defense experience within U.S. law firms, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
-)Review daily To-Do?s and follow up on pending tasks.
-)Manage and update attorneys? calendars for legal events such as depositions and hearings, and prepare related documents.
-)Review Claim Files and Discovery Responses and compile the appropriate documentation.
-)Coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and site inspections with the appropriate parties.
-)E-file pleading documents upon attorney request and send courtesy copies to opposing counsel.
-)Handle incoming invoices and submit them to Accounts Payable.
-)Bill clients according to established client guidelines.
-)Draft correspondence to adjusters, clients, mediators, opposing counsel, and judges.
-)Prepare discovery responses, motions, notices, and orders.
-)Verify that the Subpoena Clerk has properly served NPNPs and Subpoenas.
-)Redact and organize documents for discovery purposes.
Ensure all case deadlines are met.
-)Close files upon attorney request.
-)Perform other administrative tasks as requested by the unit?s paralegals and attorneys.
Requirements
-)3?5 years of experience as a Paralegal with Insurance Defense experience.
-)Previous experience working with U.S. law firms is required.
-)Minimum equivalent of a High School Diploma.
-)C1?C2 level of English.
-)Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
