Location: On-site in Colombia (Bogota, Barranquilla, Medellin, Cali, Bucaramanga)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. EST
Language Requirement: English C1

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Probate Legal Assistant to support attorneys in all aspects of probate and estate administration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing probate case files, preparing legal documents, and coordinating with courts, clients, and third parties throughout the probate process.
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, specifically in probate and estate administration (Must).
Strong knowledge of probate procedures, terminology, and documentation.
Experience preparing and filing legal documents in probate courts (Must).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1 minimal accent).
Key Responsibilities
Probate & Estate Administration Support
Assist attorneys with all phases of probate and estate administration.
Prepare, draft, and file probate-related legal documents, including:
Petitions for probate
Letters testamentary / letters of administration
Inventories and accountings
Notices to creditors and beneficiaries
Distribution documents and closing statements
Case Management & Coordination
Manage and maintain probate case files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
Calendar important deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements.
Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, courts, and financial institutions.
Coordinate asset collection and valuation (bank accounts, real estate, investments, etc.).
Track outstanding documentation and follow up with relevant parties.
Administrative & Legal Support
Assist with the preparation of estate accountings and reports.
Support attorneys with court filings (e-filing) and compliance requirements.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including legal correspondence and notices.
