Fire Engineer English C1, Remote
IMPORTANT (Read before applying):

MEP Designer (Fire Sprinkler)
Join an established US-based fire protection company with over 20 years of experience designing commercial fire sprinkler systems. You'll play an important role in creating accurate sprinkler system layouts, collaborating with engineers and project teams, and contributing to projects that help protect people and property.
What You'll Do:
- Design fire sprinkler systems from architectural plans using industry-standard software
- Review project specifications and apply NFPA and ICC fire protection standards throughout the design process
- Produce complete sprinkler layouts and working drawings ready for engineering review and approval
- Assist with hydraulic calculations when required
- Manage assigned projects in Asana and maintain organized project documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other construction trades throughout the design process
- Revise drawings based on internal review, customer feedback, and architectural changes
- Prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
- Proactively ask questions whenever project information is unclear rather than making assumptions
- Assist with resolving design-related questions and field issues when required
Who You'll Work With:
Work closely with experienced fire protection engineers, architects, project managers, and other construction professionals to deliver accurate, code-compliant fire sprinkler system designs for commercial projects.
Who We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of fire sprinkler system design experience
- Strong understanding of International Code Council (ICC) or NFPA standards
- Experience using AutoSPRINK is a plus, but candidates with SprinkCAD, HydroCAD, Revit, or similar software are encouraged to apply
- Strong understanding of sprinkler layouts, system components, hydraulic concepts, and construction drawings
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and revisions simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently while communicating effectively with the team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Location: Must be based in Colombia
Experience: Minimum 2 years of fire sprinkler system design experience required
