HR Specialist Bogotá
Job Objective
Comprehensively manage human resources processes and provide administrative and operational support for the establishment and operation of the company in Colombia. You will be responsible for overseeing employee management and supporting the administrative and logistical needs of the operation, including the search for and coordination of workspaces, vendors, and services. You must have knowledge of Colombian labor and legal regulations, acting as a liaison between the local operation and headquarters to ensure that processes are organized, efficient, and in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
What You?ll Do
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for the Customer Support team: create job descriptions, post vacancies, screen CVs, conduct interviews, and coordinate final decisions with hiring managers.
- Manage the full onboarding process for new Support team members: offers, documentation, data collection, system access coordination, first-day logistics, and introduction to company policies.
- Handle HR administration for Support employees: contracts, amendments, probation tracking, personal data updates, and HR system records.
- Own termination procedures for Support roles: prepare documents, coordinate with managers and legal/finance, ensure proper communication and offboarding (access removal, final payments, exit info).
- Act as the first HR point of contact for conflict situations within the Support team: listen to both sides, mediate discussions, and escalate complex cases to Head Office HR when needed.
- Support managers in performance-related topics: probation reviews, performance improvement plans, feedback processes, and promotion/role change discussions.
- Ensure that all HR processes for the Support team are aligned with company policies, local labour regulations, and responsible workplace practices.
- Maintain clear and accurate HR records for all Support employees in HR systems and internal documentation.
- Prepare regular reports to Head Office HR on key HR matters: hiring status, headcount, turnover, probation outcomes, conflicts handled, and disciplinary or termination cases.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Support Team Leads and managers to understand team needs and plan hiring, structure, and workforce changes.
Requirements
- 1?2 years of experience in HR or People Operations, ideally with exposure to recruitment and HR administration.
- Experience in customer support or high-volume hiring environments is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of basic HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, HR admin, and termination procedures.
- Good conflict-resolution and communication skills; ability to remain neutral, discreet, and supportive.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with documents and employee data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, support multiple stakeholders (Team Leads, managers, Head Office HR), and manage priorities.
- Native Spanish speaker, English at B2 level or higher;
