Primary and Secondary EAL/SSL/CC teacher

An International School in Bogotá offering the National Curriculum of England, International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme requires a qualified and experienced languages teacher (English as a Foreign Language, Spanish as a Second Language and Colombian Culture) to start on August 1st, 2026. C1 English and Spanish levels required. Experience in working with children in Primary is essential. CELTA, ICELT and qualifications on Spanish as a Second Language teaching are ideal.

This is an exciting and challenging role, involving the following tasks in the Additional Language Department:

- Working with a small group of students who require intensive English support
- Delivering language input in the classroom for all students
- Co-teaching and co-planning with mainstream teachers and providing in-class support sessions across different sections if necessary
- Following up on strategies to support language learners in the mainstream classroom in subjects other than languages
- Providing in-class support sessions across different sections if necessary
- Translation from Spanish to English and English to Spanish for the community
- Ongoing Professional Development (personally and delivering sessions for the community)
- Admissions language testing across Primary and Secondary
- Team-working with a wonderful and inspiring group of ALD teachers
