As a Tax Senior Assistant, you will support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax filings, maintaining accurate tax records, supporting client inquiries, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. You will work closely with senior team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality services while meeting established deadlines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop expertise in taxation within a dynamic and international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns, including VAT (IVA), ICA, Corporate Income Tax, and withholding taxes.
Prepare tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and tax reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
Monitor changes in Colombian tax legislation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.
Support and lead tax audits, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Ensure alignment between accounting records and tax reporting through reconciliations and reviews.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and risk management.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in accounting. (Mandatoty)
Minimum 3+ years of experience focused on TAX (preferably in BPO/SSC environments)
Strong knowledge of Colombian tax regulations (IVA, ICA, Renta, withholding taxes)
Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting tax audits
Solid understanding of tax-accounting reconciliation
English level: B2 or higher
