About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team!
You will be responsible for executing accurate payroll processing, ensuring full compliance with tax, legal, and accounting requirements, while leading initiatives to integrate and automate payroll processes with accounting systems.
Main Responsibilities:
Full-cycle payroll processing for approximately 300 employees in Colombia (occasional exposure to Mexico and Brazil payrolls)
Audit and reconciliation of payroll data with the accounting department
Administration of income certificates and social security taxes
Management of systems including Workday and ADP
Drive initiatives for process automation and integration with accounting
Stay updated on Colombian labor laws and tax regulations
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior payroll team members
Serve as the point of contact in the absence of the Payroll Manager
Collaborate in global projects for system upgrades and interfaces
Lead conversations on complex payroll matters (e.g., long-term incentives, taxation)
Requirements:
Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Payroll, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
47 years of regional payroll experience, ideally supporting companies with 500+ employees
Experience with Workday and local payroll platforms (ADP preferred)
Advanced English (B2 or higher) for meetings and communications
Strong analytical, auditing, and reconciliation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, autonomy, and ability to manage conflicts diplomatically
Ability to manage cross-functional relationships with HR, Accounting, and Global Services
