Responsibilities:
- Manage product development projects with external suppliers, ensuring on-time
delivery and quality standards.
- Prepare detailed technical sheets for product development and production.
- Establish and enforce development and production schedules to meet project
deadlines.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of samples, including fabrics, colors, fit, and
special processes. Provide constructive feedback on construction and pattern
making for proto, size set, and pre-production samples.
- Coordinate freelance supplier management, including negotiations and
performance assessments.
- Perform cost analysis across development, production, and international
logistics to optimize expenses and efficiency.
- Offer ongoing support to full package suppliers in both development, production
stages, and logistics coordination.
- Conduct quality audits and approve final products, ensuring they meet our
high-quality US standards.
- Manage purchase orders and billing tracking to maintain budget control.
- Oversee fabric inventory, ensuring availability and efficient use of materials.
- Proactively search for and evaluate new suppliers to enhance product quality and
margin improvement.
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Proven experience in product development, preferably in the fashion and textiles
industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for effective cost analysis and
quality control.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of building productive
relationships with suppliers.
- Knowledge of quality audit processes and standards in the textiles industry.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, adapting quickly to changing
priorities.
- Willingness and ability to visit facilities and suppliers in person as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or
related field.
- Five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion or textiles
industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing external suppliers and product development
cycles.
