This is a full time position based in Barranquilla, under the direct supervision of the Director of Management and Operations (DMO) and the Deputy Director of Management and Operations (DDMO)

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing a wide range of administrative, logistical and maintenance functions at post, including, but not limited to: Maintains procurement files; supports the logistics related with Volunteers such as inputs data, process reimbursements forms and notify payments; makes travel arrangements and hotel reservations, and coordinates the logistics related; supports the attention and solution, serves as alternate Cashier if needed; supports Medical Inventory, supports the coordination and logistics of meetings and training events among other duties related with American volunteers supplies.

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Education: Two years of college in business administration, accounting or a related specialty is required.
Prior Work Experience: At least three years of progressively responsible administrative experience is required.
Language Proficiency: Written and oral communication in Spanish; high intermediate written and oral communication in English (minimum B2 level of proficiency in English)
Knowledge: Accounting and administrative general knowledge is required. Knowledge of local travel procedures in regards to domestic and international travel. Familiarity on differences and similarities between U.S. and local cultures, business practices and procedures is desirable. Knowledge of Peace Corps philosophy, goals and objectives is desired. Basic knowledge of local banking operations and regulations is a plus.
Skills and Abilities: Must have developed skills in interpersonal relations and communications in order to deal effectively with Volunteers, staff and Headquarters. Strong organizational ability and attention to detail and accuracy in the performance of daily tasks. Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural groups both from the U.S. and from Colombia. **Desirable but is not a requirement: Valid Driver?s License and good experience driving vehicles

Annual basic salary: COP $50,410,043 (before discounts and benefits)
