Accounts Receivable & Collections Representative

Join a growing healthcare revenue support company and help manage patient and facility collections for third party healthcare service providers, including transportation and other healthcare related services. You'll play an important role in researching accounts, verifying billing information, determining payment responsibility, and following up on outstanding balances to help providers get paid accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

- Review patient and facility accounts, verify demographic and billing information, and identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent details
- Research accounts and use sound judgment to correct information and determine whether the patient, facility, or both are responsible for the balance
- Prepare, upload, organize, and send invoices and related payment documentation
- Follow up on outstanding patient balances through inbound and outbound phone calls, text messages, and email, clearly explaining amounts owed and professionally requesting payment
- Contact nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, hospitals, and other organizations when the facility is responsible for all or part of the payment
- Identify accounts involving secondary insurance and route them to the provider's regular billing department for insurance processing
- Determine the appropriate next steps when information is incomplete, payment responsibility is unclear, or account details do not match
- Maintain accurate account records, document accounts that cannot move forward, and meet productivity goals

Who You'll Work With:

Work directly with a growing healthcare revenue support team that manages patient and facility collections on behalf of third party service providers. You'll communicate with patients, nursing homes, hospitals, hospices, assisted living facilities, and other responsible organizations while independently managing account research, accounts receivable follow ups, data entry, and payment communication.

Who We're Looking For:

- Strong English communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone
- A problem solver who uses common sense and good judgment when account information is incomplete, incorrect, or inconsistent
- Confident and comfortable discussing outstanding balances, requesting payment, handling conversations about money owed, and moving discussions forward professionally
- Detail oriented and accurate when reviewing patient information, invoices, and account records
- Organized and persistent, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, follow ups, and next steps without constant direction
- Comfortable working across different provider systems, uploading files, and using email and text messaging software
- Experience in collections, billing, accounts receivable, or customer service in a billing related environment is helpful but not required
- General work experience is required
