Forestry Project Supervisor Bilingual

Professional in areas related to agriculture with experience in forestry project management and commercialization of Teak and Acacias.C
ompleted bachelor's degree, preferably master's degree in agribusiness management, forestry/agricultural economics, business management, or similar.
Ability to travel constantly to the plantations in Santa Martha and Puerto Carreño (at least once a month to each of them).
Minimum 5 years of experience in management and related positions.
Must be bilingual - English-Spanish

Tasks
Ongoing Supervision (75%): Monitor portfolio projects from a technical, financial and sustainability perspective, ensuring that target KPIs are met. Oversee timber, biomass, and carbon credit sales with internal and external parties. Drive the design and improvement of value-adding activities such as processing and logistics. Closely liaise with various departments to produce quarterly reports. Coordinate the annual valuation process with external appraisers
New Transactions (25%): Gather asset-specific value drivers and inputs in the context of financial modelling and drafting of investment memoranda. Coordinate technical due diligence as well as provide transaction support until closing. Design plantation management and harvesting plans
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced and reliable (agro-) forestry professional with strong communication skills. The following qualities and experiences are important:
Professional experience in Project Management (min. 3 years, better 5 years) in forestry or agroforestry sector. BA- or MA-degree in in forestry, agriculture, agribusiness management, agricultural economics, business management, or similar applicable fields. Significant on-the-ground experience with tree species. Technical knowledge relating to forestry or agroforestry systems and machinery. Interest in ecological and social investment. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience with GIS, CropModeling, agricultural production management software, precision agriculture, hydrology, irrigation systems, fertilization, pest control etc. Business fluent in Spanish and English. Entrepreneurial thinking and courage to take personal responsibility. Thoroughness and organizational skills. Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
