About Logicstics
Logicstics is an established international logistics company expanding its U.S. domestic freight brokerage division. We're seeking an experienced Freight Brokerage Operations Coordinator to support daily shipment operations and ensure freight moves efficiently.
Our freight agents handle sales, quoting, carrier sourcing, and load booking. You'll manage shipment tracking, carrier communication, appointment scheduling, documentation, and operational follow-up.
This is not a sales position. Applicants must have hands-on experience supporting U.S. freight brokerage operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipment Tracking & Monitoring
- Track active shipments from pickup through delivery.
- Conduct regular check calls with carriers and drivers.
- Verify pickup and delivery ETAs and update shipment statuses.
- Identify delays, missed appointments, and potential service failures.
- Escalate shipment exceptions promptly to the appropriate team.
Carrier & Driver Communication
- Communicate with U.S. carriers, dispatchers, and drivers.
- Confirm dispatch details, driver information, and equipment assignments.
- Follow up on pickups, deliveries, and shipment issues.
- Coordinate solutions for delays, cancellations, and scheduling changes.
Appointment Scheduling
- Schedule and confirm pickup and delivery appointments.
- Verify facility hours, requirements, and special instructions.
- Coordinate appointment changes with shippers, receivers, and carriers.
- Maintain accurate appointment information in the TMS.
Documentation & TMS Management
- Obtain and organize Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), and other freight documents.
- Follow up on missing paperwork and delivery confirmations.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and real-time TMS updates.
- Ensure required documentation is available for customer billing.
Operational Support
- Provide timely updates to freight agents and internal teams.
- Document important communications and shipment exceptions.
- Prioritize urgent issues while managing multiple active loads.
- Proactively resolve operational problems before they escalate.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working for or supporting a U.S. freight brokerage.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic trucking, particularly FTL and LTL.
- Experience with track and trace, carrier check calls, and appointment scheduling.
- Familiarity with BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations, and freight documentation.
- Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Confidence communicating with U.S. carriers, drivers, and warehouses.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments.
- Proactive problem-solving and communication skills.
- Reliable internet, computer, and quiet professional workspace.
- Availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours, including seasonal time changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience tracking multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Familiarity with MacroPoint, Trucker Tools, DAT, Truckstop, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of detention, layovers, TONUs, lumper fees, and freight accessorial charges.
- Experience supporting remote U.S. transportation teams.
- Familiarity with carrier paperwork and freight billing requirements.
What We're Looking For
We need someone who takes ownership of shipments rather than simply updating load statuses.
The ideal candidate proactively contacts carriers, identifies problems early, communicates clearly, follows through on outstanding issues, and keeps shipment records accurate without constant supervision.
You should understand how a U.S. freight brokerage operates and be comfortable working independently from day one.
