Marketplace Account Manager ? Rugs & Home Décor
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and entrepreneurial Marketplace Sales Manager to independently manage and grow our online marketplace business across key eCommerce platforms. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of marketplace operations, including sales management, product setup, content optimization, advertising coordination, reporting, inventory oversight, and retailer communication.

This position is ideal for a hands-on candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can successfully manage multiple marketplace functions without direct support staff. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with operational execution and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Management
- Independently manage day-to-day operations and sales performance across marketplaces including Amazon 3P, Walmart Marketplace, Tik Tok Shop, Target Plus, and other eCommerce platforms.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retailer and marketplace communications.
- Monitor account performance, scorecards, compliance metrics, and operational requirements to ensure account health.
- Identify opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability, and expand assortment placement.
Product Setup & Content Management
- Create, maintain, and optimize product listings, including titles, bullet points, descriptions, attributes, imagery coordination, and SEO.
- Manage item onboarding, assortment updates, and seasonal product launches.
- Audit product content regularly to ensure accuracy, consistency, and platform compliance.
- Coordinate internally with product development and creative teams as needed to gather required assets and information.
Sales Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales performance, traffic, conversion, pricing, and advertising metrics across all marketplace channels.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, forecasts, and retailer performance summaries.
- Monitor competitive activity, category trends, and promotional opportunities within the home décor and rug category.
- Make data-driven recommendations to improve sales and operational performance.
Advertising & Promotional Execution
- Coordinate and manage marketplace promotional calendars and retail events including, Prime Day, Cyber Week, and seasonal campaigns.
- Execute and monitor sponsored advertising campaigns and retail media opportunities where applicable.
- Track advertising performance and recommend optimizations based on ROAS, conversion, and traffic metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on marketplace or eCommerce account management experience.
- Experience managing marketplace accounts with limited administrative or analyst support strongly preferred.
- Background in rugs, furniture, textiles, home décor, or consumer goods preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, and similar platforms. Shopify experience is a plus!
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EDI processes and retailer operational compliance.
- Familiarity with marketplace advertising tools and analytics platforms.
- Understanding of digital merchandising and SEO best practices.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively in a lean team environment.
