DISCOVER THE ROLE
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting payroll operations for employees across North America while being based in Bogotá. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment, ensuring payroll processes are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll administration in accordance with the current legislation.
- Ensuring that payroll processes are in compliance with local regulations, legal and taxation standards, procedures and comply with legislative obligations as well as TMF internal and global guidelines and internal auditing requirements (e.g. ISAE certification).
- Processing of low complexity process that are expected to be processed independently from the beginning to the end such as reconciliation of payroll on monthly basis, data entry, starters and leavers, salary payments and others related.
- Prepare regular client specific and statutory monthly reports.
- Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, including data entry, calculations, and verification of hours worked.
- Support the maintenance of payroll records and employee information in the payroll system, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other relevant reports.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements in payroll operations, identifying opportunities for automation and standarization.
- Keeping track of relevant changes in legislative concerning the assigned payroll agenda.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with discretion.

Key requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a university (at least 6th semester), or possess a technologist diploma or equivalent; further education in accounting, finance or a related field is advantageous.
- Prior experience in USA payroll processing or related administrative functions (Minimum 1 year).
- Familiarity with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, VISMA, or others) and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of USA payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and sense of problem solving.
- Ability of multitasking and task prioritizing.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive and have a pro-client approach.
- Team and service oriented.
- Communicative level of English language, verbal and written (B2).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
