Responsibilities
- drafting and editing contracts, contract riders, power of attorneys, attorney letters, other real
estate correspondence.
- preparing real estate closing statements
- clearing title to property
- pre-closing and post-closing responsibilities
- scheduling/coordinating closings with all parties (clients, attorneys, title, bank attorney, payoff
attorney, etc.)
- ordering cooperative (coop) stock and leases
- performing due diligence for coop/condominium (condo) purchases
- maintaining attorneys calendar
- communicating professionally and friendly with clients, brokers, attorneys, etc.
- ability to answer email and texts quickly in a fast paced/demanding industry
- bank attorney/settlement agent experience highly preferred but not required
Qualifications
- 3-10 years real estate law/real estate closing paralegal experience.
- knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- error free typing
- ability to establish priorities and manage time productively
