Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are a MUST for this position.

Our in-house creative team is looking for a Video Producer & Editor in Toronto. You will report to the Creative Director and/or Creative Producer. You would be joining a team that is responsible for creating a variety of videos including filming, editing and CGI across the most important real-estate players in the country. This is a great opportunity for a creative individual who is interested in all things motion and wants to grow in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and international work environment.


Roles and responsibilities


-Manage and edit our day-to-day videos such as sizzle reels, pitches, editorial reference videos, social media clips and other pieces.
-Edit and/or supervise the online final versions of our commercials and master films.
-Source and supervise staff for filming, editing, music/sound production, motion graphic design and other tasks as needed.
-Source and hire staff for VFX and/or CGI tasks such as tracking, rotoscoping, compositing and others.
-Supervise the VFX process working with compositing artists and/or VFX coordinator, ensuring all deadlines are met following directions from our Art Direction and/or Viz departments.
-Provide basic colour grading and audio corrections.
-Master final files for delivery, including the adaptation for social media or other mediums.
-In coordination with the Production Manager, ensure that all internal and client deadlines are met.
-Diligently devise and track the production budget.
-Work closely with the Production Accountant, supplying accurate information for cost reports during the Post-Production process.
-Manage media assets from set/location shoots, aerial shoots and others.
-Work closely with our Unreal Department, exploring/ providing solutions and refining our real-time workflow for video.
-Work with our Production Coordinator in our Virtual Production set, assisting in research and development for our real-time workflow for webinars and videos.
-Manage and coordinate our stock libraries for photos, footage, music and others.



Requirements
-Bachelor?s degree in film studies, cinematography, communications or related field.
-Minimum proven 3 years of work experience as a video editor in a film or video production environment.
-Experience managing or coordinating crews.
-Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
-Skilled storytelling abilities and graphic sensibility.
-Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe Premiere.
-Familiarity with VFX and CGI workflows.
-Editing Reel and Portfolio of completed works, like commercials, reels, music videos and/or social media reels. Note that submissions won?t be considered without a proper reel and portfolio.
