At RSI, we're seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Medical Paralegal to support our General Liability team. This role plays a critical part in reviewing and analyzing medical records that impact case valuation and litigation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
-) Review, analyze, and summarize extensive medical and billing records in a timely and confidential manner.
-) Identify and document medical treatment related to the subject incident, prior incidents, injuries, complaints, and pre-existing conditions.
-) Identify missing records and determine additional documentation needed to support case evaluation.
-) Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of medical evidence based on case-specific facts and circumstances.
-) Analyze pre-existing and/or co-existing medical conditions and their potential impact on the case.
-) Prepare detailed medical chronologies and case analyses.
-) Identify inconsistencies, omissions, and discrepancies within medical records and supporting documentation.
-) Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to support case strategy and valuation.
Preferred Qualifications:
-) Medical Doctor (MD) degree.
-) Experience with Personal Injury claims.
-) Experience reviewing and interpreting medical records and medical billing documentation.
